About Carpet flooring

Contract broadloom and modular carpet tile for offices, hospitality and education — installed to programme, with the noise, wear and fire-rating credentials you need.

Where it works best

  • Open-plan and cellular offices
  • Hotel corridors, rooms and function spaces
  • Educational classrooms and libraries
  • Student accommodation
  • Conference and event spaces
  • Care home lounges and communal areas

How we fit it

  • Site survey and programme — We survey the space, discuss phasing, out-of-hours access, loading, and interface with other trades, and agree a realistic installation programme.
  • Specification — We help your specifier or FM team pick a product that hits the traffic class, wear warranty, acoustic and fire-rating spec — Cfl-s1 fire, BS 4790 residual, NRC acoustic where required.
  • Priced proposal — Line-item pricing for product, adhesives, subfloor prep, tackifier where needed, uplift, phasing and out-of-hours premium if relevant.
  • Subfloor preparation — Raised-access panels inspected and topped, screed surveyed with a Tramex-style moisture meter, self-levelling applied where required.
  • Installation — Tiles laid quarter-turn or monolithic to spec, with tackifier adhesive on access floors and full bond elsewhere. Doorway transitions and break-offs detailed cleanly.
  • Handover and O&M pack — Full O&M pack supplied — fire certs, wear warranty, cleaning regime and batch details for future replacement.

FAQs

Carpet questions, answered.

Carpet tile or broadloom?
Tile in most office environments — they're modular for maintenance, you can replace a damaged tile without re-doing the room, and they sit well on raised-access floors. Broadloom still wins in hotel bedrooms and hospitality corridors for a continuous, seam-free finish.
Can you work out-of-hours?
Yes — evenings, weekends, phased overnight work are all normal for us. We'd rather quote for that up front than surprise your tenants or staff with a fit during the working day.
What fire rating do commercial premises need?
Cfl-s1 to BS EN 13501-1 is the standard spec for most offices, education, and public buildings in the UK. Hotels and care homes often require specific additional test data — we'll confirm against the building's fire strategy.
How do you deal with raised-access floors?
Tackifier adhesive (releasable) rather than permanent bond, so panels remain liftable for cabling and M&E access. We survey any warped or damaged panels first and agree remedial work.
How long does a typical office floor take?
Roughly 500 sqm a day per team once the programme is running. A typical 2,000 sqm floor is a four-day installation, plus a day either side for uplift and handover.
Do you supply the fire and wear certificates?
Yes — every commercial handover includes the product data, fire certificate, warranty, cleaning regime and batch reference. Your facilities manager or principal contractor gets a single tidy pack.
