About LVT flooring
Amtico, Karndean and Polyflor LVT in commercial-grade builds — surveyed, prepped, laid-and-patterned by accredited installers for offices, retail and hospitality.
Where it works best
- Office receptions and breakout spaces
- Hotel lobbies and corridors
- Retail shop floors and concept stores
- Restaurants and coffee shops
- Healthcare waiting areas and clinics
- Education — universities, private schools, libraries
How we fit it
- Site survey and moisture test — LVT failures almost always start with a damp, uneven, or contaminated subfloor. We hygrometer-test, check levelness to the manufacturer's tolerance, and survey existing adhesive residues.
- Design input — For patterned installations we work with the designer on a setting-out drawing, balance the pattern to the space, and agree border and threshold details.
- Priced proposal — Fully itemised — product, adhesive, subfloor prep (DPM, latex, ply), patterning labour, trims, welding (where specified), uplift and programme.
- Subfloor preparation — Self-levelling, moisture suppressant where required, ply overlay for timber subfloors. We work to the adhesive manufacturer's spec, not general practice.
- Installation — Boxes batched and acclimatised, adhesive applied correctly for conditions, tiles or planks laid to the setting-out drawing, rolled and edge-trimmed cleanly.
- Handover and maintenance regime — First-clean, care instructions, spare stock, and O&M pack including fire certs, wear warranty, slip data and batch numbers.
