Domestic flooring

Flooring for homes, fitted for a long life.

A good domestic floor should still look right in fifteen years. Every spec we write — the underlay, the edge finish, the subfloor prep — is chosen with that in mind.

Domestic FAQs

Common questions from homeowners.

Which areas do you cover?
We work across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the northern edge of Greater London — from Watford and St Albans out to Milton Keynes, Bedford, Aylesbury, and into Barnet, Enfield and Harrow. If your postcode sits slightly outside that belt, ring us anyway and we'll tell you honestly whether it's workable.
Are your quotes free?
Yes. We measure, advise on suitable products, and return a written quote with no fee and no obligation. Most quotes land with you within 48 hours of the site visit.
Are you insured?
We hold full public liability insurance and carry employer's liability cover for our fitters. Insurance certificates can be supplied on request, which is often needed for commercial and landlord jobs.
What warranty do you offer on installation?
Our workmanship is warranted for twelve months from completion. The product itself is covered by the manufacturer's own warranty — typically five to twenty-five years depending on the range and whether the job is domestic or commercial. We hand over all paperwork on completion.
How quickly can you fit our flooring?
Once a quote is accepted and the product is in stock, most domestic installations can be booked within two to three weeks. Stocked carpet ranges can sometimes be fitted inside a week. Commercial jobs are planned around the site programme and we'll give you a firm window during the quote stage.
Do you remove and dispose of old flooring?
Yes. Uplift and disposal is included in most quotes — we'll note it line-by-line so you know exactly what's covered. We dispose of old material responsibly and will tell you up front if anything (old bitumen-backed tile, for instance) needs specialist handling.
Can you move furniture for us?
Yes. For straightforward domestic jobs we'll shift furniture room-by-room at no extra charge. If the space is heavily furnished or contains antiques, pianos, or fitted items, we'll flag this at the quote stage and agree a clear plan — we'd rather have the conversation first than surprise you on fit day.
What are your payment terms?
For domestic jobs we ask for the material cost once the order is placed and the balance on completion, by bank transfer or card. For commercial work we operate standard 30-day invoice terms after handover, or an agreed stage-payment schedule for larger projects.
